Our History
In the Spring of 1956, George C. Faucette, Sr., started G.C. Faucette REALTORS® in a 400sq. ft basement office with a mission to bring excellence and integrity to the Washington County real estate industry. These humble beginnings began with (3) PT real estate agents determined to serve the growing region. As the brokerage grew, they became known as Faucette Real Estate.
Fast forward to May of 1976, and a pair of ambitious entrepreneurs ( Pat Harris and Jack McHaney) started their own brokerage named Harris McHaney REALTORS® serving the northern half of Northwest Arkansas, i.e. Benton County. Dedicated to the same core values of excellence and integrity, Harris McHaney grew quickly and became a force competing alongside Faucette Real Estate.
In 1986, Faucette real estate became a Coldwell Banker affiliate, leveraging the brands national exposure and tool offerings to further the local franchise reach. As Faucette and Harris McHaney propelled forward, each company experienced tremendous growth and served the community alongside Northwest Arkansas' most influential people such as Sam Walton. By 2005, Harris McHaney REALTORS® was the largest real estate company in Northwest Arkansas.
In 2009, the housing market took quite a hit and both companies fought with grit and determination to maintain their ranks. This is when the merger idea was born; Two companies with the same core values, succeeding in adjacent markets, began talks of a unified company. In February of 2010, Coldwell Banker Faucette Real Estate and Harris McHaney Realtors joined to become Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney & Faucette.
With these (2) Northwest Arkansas Real Estate powerhouses joining forces, our company has achieved numerous awards such as:
